About the Event

Nearly all Garn non-fiction writers will participate. We expect a great conversation about supporting teachers, children, and the parents of children in public education at a time when public schools are being privatized, high stakes tests are negatively impacting the curriculum, and both teachers and children are unacceptably stressed.

Anthony Cody, Russ Walsh, Denny Taylor, Bobbie Kabuto, Anne Haas Dyson, Rick Meyer, Debi Goodman (for Ken Goodman), Esther Fine, and Steve Nelson will participate in this event designed to engage parents and teachers in lively conversation at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year. Special thanks to Jerry Harste for the Hearts painting.
