At Garn Press we are so excited for the 2017 Brooklyn Book Festival. Forty thousand readers and we are going to meet them! It is going to be such a great celebration! Garn will be at the BBF for the Children’s Day and we will have lots of books for children and young adults at discount prices. Better still, GP children’s authors and illustrators will be there. We will be reading books with children and giving them beautiful pictures to color from Toodle-oo Ruby Blue! Better still Rachel Backshall will there to talk with young artists about her brilliant work as an illustrator.
Garn will also have renowned educators who are GP authors on hand to talk with teachers, parents and children. Bobbie Kabuto will be ready to talk about every creative topic you can think of when it comes to young children learning to read and write in public schools. Russ Wash who wrote A Parent’s Guide to Public Education in the 21st Century: Navigating Education Reform to Get the Best Education for My Child will be there too with sage advice about all aspects of the education of children in public schools. We will sell all books, book-bags, t-shirts and mugs at discount prices and hold a silent auction for some of the incredible original paintings by Shelton Walsmith for the picture book Rat-a-tat-tat! I’ve lost my cat!
On the Sunday Garn Press authors will be there again will copies of our entire list of five star award-winning books that we have published in the last three years. Once again our renowned scholars and writers of conscience will be on hand to talk with everyone who comes to greet us.
